The following is how our contract to purchase a puppy reads.
We generally sell pups only to approved homes and as companion dogs
with Non-breeding AKC Registration only.

Our Puppy Contract
Congratulations on your purchase of a puppy from Sweetbriar Farm! We hope you will enjoy many happy years with your new friend. It is our goal to deliver to you the happiest, highest quality and healthiest puppy possible. With this goal in mind, we offer the following guarantee...
To validate your guarantee, we require that you select, schedule an appointment, and visit with a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 10 days of taking delivery of your puppy. If upon examination, your Vet determines any health or genetic problems with the puppy, you must provide a report in writing from said Vet and return the puppy to our location within two weeks of purchase. If our Veterinarian concurs, you will be given your choice of another puppy (subject to availability) or a full refund. Note that any issue must be related to something that we could have avoided--not injury to the puppy after leaving the farm.
If the puppy dies within 30 days of purchase, the body MUST be preserved by freezing until an autopsy can be performed by OUR Vet. Failure to comply with this requirement WILL VOID THIS GUARANTEE. If the reason for the death is determined to have been an avoidable issue that we were responsible for as breeders PRIOR TO delivery of the puppy, or a genetic defect avoidable in the breeding, we will give you a choice of another puppy (subject to availability) or a full refund. Note again, that the death must be related to something we could have avoided--not injury to the puppy after leaving our farm.
No implicit guarantees are made in regard to health issues which may arise later in the life of the puppy since factors such as lack of vet care, diet, overweight, etc. Can affect a variety of conditions and cannot be controlled by Sweetbriar farm.
Both Seller and Buyer will sign this document before possession of the puppy is transferred.
When you purchase a puppy from us, we expect that you are committing yourself to the dog's care for its entire life. If for any reason you feel you must abandon your corgi purchased from us, please contact us before turning your corgi over to any shelter. We will help you find a home for any pup we have raised if this should become necessary. Note this is not an offer to re-purchase the puppy, rather an agreement to assist you in finding another home if needed.
